Our senses altogether are the tools with which we experience the full array of our emotional abilities. Blocked emotions, as well as negative mental patterns, are believed to create severe imbalances leading to dis-eases, which traditions like Chinese medicine have learned to physically release. Some pathways, the meridians, are useful to work on to restore freeflow circulation of these congestions. Some therapies even address the emotional blockages at cellular levels.

Last of all, the physical layer of our person is the most tangible part. Being solid and material, it is no wonder we concentrate mainly on its needs and defaults, with less regards to the other aspects. The body has tremendous requirements: food (diet determines the state of health), sleep constitutes a third of our existence (on which depends mental and emotional faculties), rest for another quarter, a shelter to allow these, cleanliness and grooming for hygiene and clothing to protect it and assert individuality. Working is essential to provide all of the above, whether it is in exchange for money or, in societies that didn't capitalize, in the form of hunting, gathering and making all the tools and shelter needed for life.
