Emotions play a big part of our lives, and form the most manifest and fluid of all categories. The entertainment industry is largely based on inducing emotions. Love is the main subject of popular songs and our favourite topic of daydreaming. Relationships are therefore seen as vital both to our survival and our general well being. From relationships we draw support, understanding, confidence, acceptance, self-esteem, a sense of belonging, a greater ability to achieve, provide and create, all in all we feel stronger. They serve our sex life, which forms the physical need to perpetuate the race.
Our feelings determine our moods, which are shown through our voice and our general body language; excessive stress or hormone cycles, particularly in women, can make us more emotional than usual. To help stabilise this important aspect of our being, a balance of exercise, rest and even hobbies, when we can freely enjoy what we really love doing, is indicated. We can translate various emotions and feelings through art, music and dance, which also make us relate to one another and bear spiritual relevance too. It has been shown that colours can influence our moods and performances.
