So at our core is consciousness. This aspect is defined by its connection to everything else; as our inner sense of moral and ethics develops, through our education and mainly of our personal experience of life, we are more able to discern the truth that is valid for us. The more encompassing the truth is, the more spiritual one becomes. When the principles of truth are applied to everyday life, it is said that truth becomes all that is. Even though our cultural background can contribute to our spirituality, it is ultimately our own observations and understanding that builds our sense of how things are. This intuition of something bigger is what originally led to create. Intuition, an ability we all possess, can become our main guidance in life if listened and sharpened. Also, it allows us to sense people in a more subtle way, and that may contradict our more physical and trusted senses, which may be confusing for those relying solely on their cognitive faculties.

The mental aspect of our being is often reflected in our habits. Habits give us a sense of structure, a reassurance, which we picked up at an early age, just like our parents helped structure our understanding of life.
